Any help appreciated!

In describing someone in the process of counting, would the phrase be "he counted twenty," or "he counted to twenty" ?

Depends in what context.

He sat on the floor having counted twenty of them....

Vs.

Having counted to twenty, he sat on the floor.....

Does that help??

I think so. Not different from American English, then.

Thank you!
