Does anyone remember an S/X fic in which Xander somehow loses his hearing? If I recall correctly, Spike learns sign language along with Xander (perhaps just to read Xander's signs, though he may have signed himself during the fic). I'm not certain whether they were a couple *before* Xander became deaf, or if that was a result of the hurt/comfort plot.

The story was being posted on the nummytreats mailing list several years ago, though I can't recall if it was ever completed there or elsewhere.
