**also, I've misplaced the fanart that inspired this fic. a long time back (I think October) I saw a wallpaper, I *thought* posted by
katekat1010 but maybe I'm wrong, at one of the seasonal communities. it had spike in a suit (from James' SFX shoot) and Xander from that shoot where he's all sprawled out half-naked on his stomach. you know the one. does this fanart sound familiar to anyone? wanted to give proper credit but my brain is swiss cheese**
