Summary: Drusilla wants to adopt a kitten and decides that she wants Xander. Years later, Spike and Xander have returned to the Hellmouth to help her recover.

Spike came back to the warehouse exhausted. He didn’t like China. He was pretty sure the memory of killing his first slayer blocked out how horrible China actually was. Why did they all have to speak bloody Chinese?
"You’d think they’d all be speaking the Queen’s English by now," Spike muttered to himself.
“Knee how, Spike!” Came Xander’s voice from somewhere in the warehouse.
Spike looked around to see Xander sitting with his tutor. The newly turned tutor looked frustrated and currently had his hands over his face. Xander was sitting there trying to learn; maybe Spike should find a tutor with more patience. He made a mental note to find a new one next time he went out.
“What are you learning, pet?”
“How to speak Chinese. It’s really hard though.”
“You’ll get it. You learned how to speak Latin, didn’t you?”
“Yeah, I guess. Why can’t I just go out killing with you and Mummy?”
“It ain’t killing, most of the times, it’s feeding. You don’t drink blood. You drink those fizzy drinks.”
“Well, when will I be able to drink blood?”
“When you’re older.”
“But what if I’m thirty and you still haven’t turned me?”
“This isn’t the Middle Ages. You’ll live well past thirty even if we don’t decide to turn you just yet.”
“I’ll just ask Mummy.”
“And she’ll tell you the exact same thing except with stars and moons. Now, I think that’s enough studying.”Spike said closing Xander’s book. “Should get you ready for bed.”
“When will I get to do what you and Mummy do in bed?”
“When you hit puberty.”
“What’s puberty?”
Spike searched for words, “Puberty is when you- It’s when you- You get all these pimples, right? They’re these dots that grow all over your face. Then your voice changes.”
“My voice changes?” Xander asked feeling his throat. “But I like my voice.”
“It gets deeper, more manly. Then, your cock it- well, it- I’ll save that for when we get there. Then you start wanting it.”
“Wanting it?”
“What me and Dru do in bed. You know, sex.”
“But I already want sex.”
“Oh- OH!” Spike ran his hands through his hair. “I’m a Victorian; I shouldn’t have to have this conversation. What did my dad say to me? Sexual urges are bad… no, I don’t want to say that.”
“Maybe we can skip over the sex part. I mean, I learn enough as it is.”
“Right, skip the sex. You know what I mean. You get hair. Hair everywhere you wouldn’t expect it that’s where it grows.”
“Everywhere?”
“Everywhere.”
Xander shifted uncomfortably, “Can’t I skip the puberty stuff? If you turned me now, I wouldn’t have to go through it at all.”
“The stars say it’s not your time, kitten.”
Drusilla entered the warehouse and sauntered over to Xander, running her hands through his hair while looking at Spike. Spike grinned, he was saved.
Spike sat in a chair next to the bed like a nervous parent, possibly even an expectant father. After the ritual, the stars told Drusilla that it was time for Xander to become a vampire. Drusilla stood at the other side of the room, waiting too. She was waiting with minion who was holding a shovel, though.
“For the last time, we’re not burying him and I will stake that minion if he doesn’t get out of here.”
The minion ran out of the room and Drusilla moved to stand behind Spike. It had already been two days since the ritual. It had been a complete success, well besides Willy double crossing them and bringing the slayer or should he say slayers early. Xander had been ready for them. He fought beautifully and even managed to kill the blonde one. Spike killed the brunette, but Xander killed his first so they counted it as his win. The Watcher and the remaining Slayerettes were easy to dispatch once the two main slayers were out of the way. Angel was dust as well. The ritual had been a success and the first words out of her mouth when Spike undid her chains were “It’s time.” After that, they rushed home so Dru could drain Xander.
“Mummy?” Xander said weakly as he opened his eyes. “I feel hungry.”
He looked up to see both Spike and Mummy smiling at him. He smiled back. He could feel it. They were a proper family now. He had a demon in him.
“We’ll take you out to hunt as soon as we make sure you’re all there.”
“I’m all here?” Xander asked running a hand over his chest. “Did the slayer take something while I was fighting her? I did win right? We’re not in Hell are we?”
“He’s all there,” Spike confirmed pressing his mouth into Xander’s.
Spike pulled back and looked over the grinning Xander. Spike undressed and climbed into bed.
“Maybe the hunting can wait,” Xander suggested. “My first time having sex as a vampire, I think that’s more important.”
Drusilla slipped out of her dress and climbed into bed as well. Spike laid a hand on Xander’s chest, Drusilla ran her hand up down Xander’s chest and up Spike’s arm. She teased Xander’s ear with her tongue while Spike bit down on his adam’s apple.
“The stars are singing,” Drusilla breathed into his ear. “They say we are prefect together. That all three of us make the prefect family.”
Xander moaned, “I’m happy you found me. I’m happy we’re finally a proper family.”
Spike let out a husky chuckle, “Me too, pet. Me too.”
And they all lived vampirey ever after. The End.
