*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Be-Slam*

Xander rolled back over to face his vampire. He started to softly caress his face and saying his name, trying to awaken him. "Spike. Spike, Baby. Wake up for a second, ok?" When he saw blue eyes blink open he smiled. "Morning, Beautiful. It’s time for me to get ready for work. I can call in sick if you want me to stay."

Spike blearily opened his eyes, and gave a small smile. "Hey, Xan," his voice was husky from sleep and he shook his head, "No. You want to save those vacation days." He gave a tired grin. "Go on to work, I will be fine, thanks," he kissed Xander's cheek softly. "But... could you bring back Chinese? I am craving it a little," he gave a cute smile, with his rumbled hair and the tired look.

"Anything for you, Spike. I'll pick you up some blood too. Oh, and I'm going to bring my cell, so if you need me just call. Ok? I'll leave the number on the fridge," Xander kissed the vampire and went to go get ready for work.

Once done getting ready he kissed Spike goodbye, put a note with his number on the fridge, and headed out the door. He didn’t like leaving Spike after everything that happened yesterday, but he didn’t want Spike to feel caged in.

Spike smiled to himself and laid back on the bed.

"I'm in love... with Xander 'white hat' Harris." He got up on the bed and did a small dance, "I'm in love!" he sing-songed, then jumped off the bed and ran and grabbed a bowl with cereal and milk, then sat down at the table and slowly ate it. Hoping the time would go by fast so he could see Xander again.

He blinked a couple times, "I think I am becoming closer with William. I am acting like him more now." He raised an eyebrow.

'I take offence to that.'

Spike grinned at William's prim voice. "Sorry."

Xander whistled as he walked up to the apartment door, Chinese and blood in hand. He had a good day at work, he had asked his boss about taking a vacation soon and he was all for it. After work he had gone to a blood-bank and convinced a worker to give him the blood they were about to destroy, he also worked out a deal that he would come by once a week to pick up more.

He put the Chinese down to reach into his pocket and grab his keys. He opened the door and bent down to pick the Chinese back up. He stepped through the door and shut it with his foot.

'Hope Spike had as good a day as I did.' He went into the kitchen to place the blood in. "Hey Spike! I got Chinese and blood!"

Spike walked into the kitchen and grinned at Xander, "Hey pet. Um, can you close your eyes for me? I got a surprise for you, and I hope you will like it." He made sure Xander set everything down and covered his eyes before Spike walked over and lead Xander to the living room, and lifted his hands, showing Xan that he cleaned the apartment, did the dishes, picked up clothes, did laundry, picked up comics, movies, and everything else, then vacuumed, as much a pain as it was.

"Do you like it?" he asked almost self-consciously as he lightly bit his bottom lip shyly.

'He did all this for me?' Xander wondered.

'Damn, he must really love you, Xan,' Alex commented.

'Yea...' the brunette sighed.

He turned to Spike and gave him a big kiss. "Like it? I love it! Who knew there was a floor in here! How did you do all this in one day?"

Before Spike could answer the phone rang.

"Hold on, Baby," Xander went and picked up the phone, "Xander and Spike’s House of Pain. How may we help you?"

"Xander?"

"Oh, Hey G-man. What’s up?"

"Do stop calling me that. Anyway, on the matter of Alexander and William, the only thing I could find said that you would have to learn to work with your other halves and eventually merge."

"Oh. Umm I guess that’s good news."

"Yes, well, that was all. Oh, also, things have been quiet lately, so we are taking a bit of a vacation from patrolling. You are welcome to anyway, just know that we will not be having any meetings."

"Sure, Giles. Thanks. We'll talk to you later," he hung up the phone and turned back to the vampire. "You hear that?"

Spike rolled his eyes in a teasing matter, "No... I am a vampire and all, but I didn't hear that at all." He then smiled, "Yeah I heard, that is good." He sighed, pulling Xander over to the couch and sitting down with him.

"How did I clean it in one day? Well, vampire speed helped an all. But, I guess I really wanted you happy." He turned his head and gave a lazy grin to Xander, "And lookie there! I did make Xan-man happy," he teased, laying his head on his brunette's shoulder. "When are you gonna start you vacation time from work?" he looked at Xan curiously.

Xander laid his head on Spikes. "Whenever you want. I talked to my boss today and he said I've been working real hard lately so he’s happy to let me take time off." Reaching for Spikes hand, he took it in his and twined their fingers together. "It's kinda funny that you had a surprise for me because I have one for you too. I went to the blood bank after work. Talked to a guy and managed to work out a deal with him. Every week I go and pick up a cooler of blood that was about to be destroyed, knowing that whatever the problem was wouldn’t bother you. It costs a couple hundred, but, for you, it’s totally worth it. Plus it keeps you in top shape which is very of the good."

Spike nodded, then looked at Xander a little worried, "But I don't want you to spend all that money on me. That is way too much. Just go to the butcher and he will give it for free. I don't have to have human, I can survive on animal blood just fine," he flushed, happy he was cared about so thoroughly by Xan.

"To change the subject a bit, what Giles said, about merging them? I don't know if William wants to go yet without seeing Alexander one last time," he gave a sad smile to Xander.

William was still in a shock, he would be merged, but... did he want that? No he really didn't. He wanted to be himself, just like Spike did. He wanted to have a life like Xander and Spike, but... he was Spike's soul, and past. He could be forgotten...

Spike felt all William was feeling and frowned.

"Pet, we have a problem," he sighed, telling Xander all that William felt.

After listening to Spike and William’s issue, Xander went into his head to talk to Alexander. 'So, what do you think, Alex?'

'Well... I would prefer not to merge...'

'Figured that. So what the hell do we do?'

'Honestly... I haven’t the slightest idea.'

'Yea, same here.'

Focusing back on the outside world, Xander sighed. "Alex is with William. He would rather not merge. But we have no idea what to do." He looked to the vampire to see if he had any clue.

Spike looked at the TV, then back at Xander. "I wish there was a book... wait!" he yelled standing up. "What was that demon that made you... two of you? It was hot... but... very weird." He snickered at Xander, "Oooh, kinky, two of the same person." He straddled his loves hips and grinned at him, "That is really hot," he purred, smiling brightly at Xander.

He sat back and looked at Xander with his arms around the brunette's shoulders, "But yes, maybe there can be a way if we beg one of those demons, or pay them in some way, they could make William and Alexander, there own bodies, and all that..."

"We're supposed to trust them to mess with our minds? Well maybe if we pay them enough we could. We can call Giles to ask him the name of them. But for now, we have Chinese and blood to consume! I, of course, will go light on the blood."

With a glint in his eyes, Xander stood up and wrapped Spike’s legs around him. 'Oh, I like this,' he snickered to himself. He then made his way to the kitchen, vampire lover in his arms.

Spike laughed, "Pet, I thought you liked blood by the way you bit me last night, by the way, it is still there," he showed the mark that Xander made to him. "I am glad it didn't disappear, I like it," he grinned, kissing Xander's neck softly, then licked it, and lightly nibbled on it. "I wish I could claim you," he whispered sadly, the thought of his chip ruining his mood a little. "Maybe it's just not meant to be, me claiming you... or whatever," he sighed, resting his head on Xander's shoulder.

Even though they were now in the kitchen, Xander continued to hold him. "Hey," he jostled the vampire in his arms to gain his attention, "I'm not sure what the whole claiming thing is, but if you want it, we're gonna make it happen. My vampire gets whatever he wants."

He walked to the counter and placed Spike on it. Still standing between his legs he kissed him. "Let me see the mark," moving the collar of Spike's shirt he saw a silver scar. "Not that I'm not happy it stayed, ‘cause I most definitely am, but shouldn’t we be worried? That should have been gone by the time we fell asleep. What if you’re sick?"

Spike looked at Xander with a thoughtful expression, "I don't really care, I don't think I am sick. It might be because you bit me and got some of my blood, and something..." he trailed off lazily, smiling at Xan. "I don't know. Maybe you should cut your finger and let me suck on it for a little bit," he purred.

'I don't know what is going on. I hope that I won't get sick or anything. I need to be with Xan.'

He kissed Xander on the lips again, "You’re so sweet and caring," he whispered fondly, then blinked, "Bloody hell. I am becoming a chit!" he laughed, "I think that is what love is like."

Xander leaned in and kissed Spike before moving over to grab a bag of blood. Once he put it in a mug and into the microwave, he turned to the Chinese. As he started to remove the cartons he asked, "You wanna watch a movie while we eat?" He started to bring the food into the living room placing it on the coffee table in front of the couch. He walked back into the kitchen to get the silverware and blood. As he walked past the vampire he leaned back in and gave him a quick kiss. "You get to pick it out. They're by the TV." He pulled Spike off the counter, turned him, and pushed him in the direction of the living room. Then he turned back to his original task.

Spike smiled and walked to the movies. "I know where they are, I cleaned it up remember?" he teased as he knelt down on one knee and looked at each movie closely before picking out the newest movie. He grinned, putting it in and walking over to the couch and sitting down. He grabbed one of the Chinese containers and dug in, "Mmm, thank you so much Xan, this is so good," he purred as he ate almost ravenously.

'Bloody hell, slow down, you are eating like a starved man. Have manners! Xander is right there!' William chastised.

Spike had the audacity to blush and slow down on eating, every now and then taking a drink of his blood.

Xander walked back in and rolled his eyes at Spike's choice of movie. 'I got that for when Dawnie comes over, but if he wants to watch it, then I'll put up with it. Besides, now that I don’t want to watch the movie I can watch Spike.' He sat down next to the man and handed him the mug of blood. "Here you go, Baby. Enjoy the human-ness." Picking up a carton of Chinese he began to dig in, watching Spike. 'He's so focused on the movie I don’t think he even knows I'm watching him.'

During the movie Spike could feel the prickles in the back of his neck, warning him that someone was watching him and he smiled softly, knowing it was only Xander. "Xan? Do you not want to watch the movie? We can stop it, I don't mind," he looked over at Xan and gave a slight smile, only a small curve upward on the corners of his mouth. He took a drink of the blood, "Yummy. Low iron," he tried to make Xander laugh.

Xander knew that Spike was trying to get him to laugh, but he just continued to stare, a smile gracing his face. "The movies fine, Spike," he simply said. 'Just look at him, Alex.'

'Yea, Xan, he’s a real hottie.' Alexander was getting a bit bored of Xander going on and on about the vamp.

'We should try and get his chip out. Don’t you think?'

'Sure, whatever you say Xan. Listen, I'm gonna go play with Princess or something.' With that, Alexander left.

Xander continued to stare.

Spike couldn't help but grin just a little, "Okay..." he trailed off, very amused with how Xan was acting.

'He is so cute and sweet.'

'I know Spike. But... I like Alexander more. Xander is your type but Alexander was more of a gentleman to me.'

'I know Will, I know. Just go rest, we will figure everything out later. I am too busy looking at Xander.'

Spike leaned forward and gently kissed Xander's lips, "Love... are you okay?"

Xander pushed Spike back so that he was lying on the couch. He then lay on top of him, making sure that every part of their bodies were touching. Laying his head on Spike shoulder, he kissed his chin. "I'm great, Spike. Love you." He cuddled down into his love and closed his eyes. He loved it here.

Spike smiled, kissing Xander's forehead, "Love you too pet. Love you too." He let out a small sigh and wrapped his arms around Xan's shoulders, holding him close. "Ya know... I always thought about you. When I was staying in your basement, it was so much harder to not fall for you. You were actually a nummy treat. Do you remember that night?

'Xander started to crawl into bed, Spike tied up, "Like I'd bite you anyway."

Xander looked at him, "Oh you would."

Spike snorted, "Not bloody likely."

Xander tilted his head with annoyance, "I happen to be very bitable, pal. I'm moist and delicious."

Spike grinned, "All right, yeah, fine. You're a nummy treat."

Xander covered up and pointed at Spike, "And don't you forget it." '

He smiled at Xander, "That night, I was serious, I really thought you were a nummy treat," he flushed.

Xander’s body started to shake with laughter. "Oh man. I remember that! I thought you were gonna stick a straw in me while I slept after that."

He folded his hands together and placed his chin on them, on Spike's chest. Looking into the blue eyes he loved, he smirked. "I am a nummy treat you know." He leaned up, pecked Spikes nose and replaced his chin on his hands. "Ok, so what’s this claiming thing? I think I'm gonna have to know what it is if I'm gonna make it happen."

Spike sighed, "Well, what I know is that we both have to drink from each other and say something, while there is a circle of candles, while there is two people we choose to watch us make the claim," he blushed. "Sorry. I don't really know too much about it. I... haven't ever seen it happen, or had it done." He gave a sad smile to Xander, "Also, I have this stupid bloody chip, it won't let me do anything like that... and I have to bite you myself." His eyes looked over at his lover, "Sorry, pet. Anyway, we’d feel like we were whole. We’d feel stronger when we are together. You could get a few of my good powers, like, better sight at night, stronger, faster," he smiled as he stopped talking. His fingers ran through Xander's hair, "I could possibly get the power to walk in the sun..." he gave a zoned out smile.

'I'm getting that stupid thing out of you, Spike. I promise.' Xander kept this little fact to himself, knowing that Spike was afraid of getting the chip out for various reasons. Like that Xander would leave him or the Scoobies would find out and stake him.

'Spike in the sun... God, that would make him so happy. I have to make this happen.'

"Spike, you know that I'm always going to be with you. Even if you can’t walk in the sun, I'll just stand with you in the moonlight. Nothing will separate us, Baby. I swear it."

He wrapped his arms around Spikes neck and nuzzled him. "We seem to act like cats, with all this nuzzling and cuddling we do."

Spike grinned, "I am more like a cat I guess. I purr," he chuckled as he started purring, kissing Xander's ear, lightly nipping at it.

'I really don't want Xander living in a life of nighttime. I want him to live in the sun, and I want to live it with him. But, I won't make him do this, he needs to decide and I will be with him the whole way, no matter what.'

Spike felt the back of his head itch so he reached back and scratched it, when he pulled his hand back he vamped out, seeing blood, "Bloody hell... I found where they put it in," he groaned, "I opened it up."

Xander felt blood drip onto his arms and quickly pulled them back. He sat Spike up and looked at his head. 'That looks bad.'

Trying not to panic, he grabbed a few napkins from their dinner and held it to the opening. Without noticing, he started to lick the blood from his arm. "You ok? What should we do?" He was looking into the vampires yellow eyes, making sure Spike was ok. 'This is a lot of blood,' he thought as he grabbed even more napkins.

Spike stood up and wobbled, "Bloody hell, I am loosing too much blood. I need to get some to drink." He growled to himself as he stumbled to the kitchen and grabbed bags of blood and chugging them right there, cold.

“I'm sorry, pet... damn," he sighed, noticing he spilled blood on the floor. "I'll clean it u," he dazedly grabbed a towel and got on the floor and started to clean it up, but ever jerky motion he made, blood from his head dripped on the floor, so he sighed and moved the towel to clean that up, making more of a mess.

Spike let out a frustrated yell, "Fucking Hell! Why won't it go away?" He growled, slamming his fist on the floor.

"Spike, stop!" Xander yelled, as he knelt on the floor with the vampire. Removing the towel from his grip, he brought it to Spikes head, applying pressure. 'Ok getting really close to panicking here!'

Alex could sense something was wrong and when to Xander's aid. 'Xan, breathe. You need to be calm for Spike. This must be freaking him out a lot more then you. You need to ask him what to do. I would take over but then William would come out and he wouldn’t be able to handle this.'

'Ok, I can do this. Thanks.'

Taking deep breathes he focused back on Spike. "Baby, you have to tell me what to do. I could stitch it up or something if you want. Just tell me what to do."

Spike blinked as he looked at Xander, "I really don't know, pet. I think you could try sewing it up. Or you could give me your blood... ‘cause it is fresh, or you could give me slayers blood. That is the strongest blood for vampires," he drawled as he closed his eyes, trying not to panic too much.

He stood up and pulled Xander with him, and he laid down on the couch, "Just... sew it up, I know the slayer wouldn't want to give me blood, she would rather kill me than give me blood to live. And, I don't know if your blood is strong enough, pet. I'm sorry." He looked at all the blood on Xander's couch, "Please... don't be mad at me, I didn't mean to make such a mess."

"Spike, the floor and couch don’t matter! You're the only thing that does!" Xander ran into the bathroom to grab the first aid kit. Quickly returning he knelt next to the couch and pulled out the sewing kit. While stitching up his boyfriends head, and trying not to throw-up, he thought about what to do next.

Once finished, he sat on the couch and pulled Spike into his lap. He reached back down into the kit and pulled out a scalpel, pushing it into the juncture between his neck and shoulder. "Come on, Baby. Drink," he whispered as he placed Spike's lips to the cut. He then reached to the phone on the side-table and pressed speed-dial 2. After a few rings, there was an answer.

"Hello?"

"Buffy! I need you to get here as soon as possible!"

"What’s wrong?" she asked in a panicked voice. She was panting a bit so he knew she was already on her way.

"I'll explain when you get here. Just come right in," he hung up, not wanting to answer any more questions.

Holding the vampire close, he started to rock them. Carding his hands through the bleached curls; he started to murmur soothing words, not caring what they were.

Spike felt the blood in his mouth so he started sucking, trying not to vamp out and hurt Xander more, which in turn would hurt him also. He pulled back, "Xan, that's enough, I don't want you to give me too much blood." He let out a small breath, his eyes closing. "Let me rest. I will heal eventually," he mumbled.

Buffy came into Xander's apartment and saw all the blood, "Xander? Oh god. If Spike has hurt you at all. He is gonna die!" She ran into the living room.

"Buffy, shut up!" Xander gently placed his bundle onto the couch and stood up. "We need some of your blood. He's hurt and it wont heal." Not giving the Slayer a choice, he pushed her onto the couch next to Spike. When he grabbed the scalpel he could tell that Buffy was going to protest. All he did was grab her wrist and glare. She shut her mouth with an audible snap. He then cut into her writs and brought it to Spikes lips.

"Spike. Spike, come on. I need you to drink this, ok?"

Spike could hear someone talking in his daze and when he 'opened' his eyes he saw William looking at him worriedly, 'Spike, you have to wake up. Xander needs you.'

Spike shook his head, 'I want him to live a long and happy life with the one he loves.'

William glared and yelled, 'He loves you stupid!'

Spike then heard someone talking to him, being asked to drink something so he opened his mouth for the voice.

What he got was a mouth full of Slayers blood, which made him vamp out and suck on it greedily. He couldn't help it, it was so good and flavorful to vampires, and Spike was technically a vampire, and he knew this would be a very rare thing.

After a bit he started feeling better, he opened his eyes and looked up at Xander and pulled his mouth off Buffy's wrist and 'kissed', yes, kissed Xander in front of Buffy, not caring she was there.

"Thank you pet, thank you. This means so much to me. You have no idea."

"I know, Spike." Xander leaned his forehead against the vampires. "Get some rest, ok?" Kissing the vampires forehead as he laid him down onto the couch.

He then turned to Buffy, who had a shocked look on her face.

"Umm. You have some blood right here," she pointed to the corner of her mouth, indicating where Xander had blood.

Not really thinking about it, he licked it away. "Thanks, Buffy. I owe you one, really I do."

"What the hell happened?"

"I don’t really know. The place where they put the chip opened and we couldn’t get it to heal. Spike said that Slayers blood would help the most, so I called you."

"I... I need time to process this. I'll talk to you later." With that, she turned and left the apartment.

Xander knelt on the floor by his vampire, gently stroking him. Knowing that Spike was going to be ok, the adrenalin started to wear off. Becoming tired, he sat and laid his head next to Spikes. He fell asleep, thinking about how his neck was going to hurt when he woke up, but not really caring.

Spike couldn't really fall asleep, yeah, he was really tired, and he was happy Xander did this for him. But, he wanted to be closer together with Xander, he could see out of the corner of his eye that Xander's head was next to his, but he didn't want Xander to be in pain when he woke up.

Spike let out a small groan and stood up, then lifted his brunette lover up and carried him to the bedroom, where he gently laid him down and then climbed over him, cuddled close, and covered them up with a blanket.

'Now, I can go to sleep.' He mumbled to himself as he fell asleep with his Xan beside him.
