As always, hugs and thanks to Petxnd for the wonderful banner.

As soon as the three hit the main lobby of the bank, their silent, cautious
demeanor flipped like a switch and everything in the room exploded.

"Get your fucking hands in the air! We don't want to hurt nobody
but, by God, we will, so shut the fuck up and do what you're told!"

Right on plan, as Buck shouted the orders and rounded the few customers
up against the wall, Xander ran over and locked the front door. He pulled
down the shade and stood guard in case anyone got the bright idea of
making a break for it.

In a startling move of agility, Spike took three fast steps forward and leapt
up onto the tellers cage, landing lightly on the other side. He then snatched
a brown canvass bag from under the desk and handed it to a young, dark
haired girl who had, up till now, thanked her lucky stars for the progressive
bank that would hire a female teller.

"Full it up, Love. All the money in the drawer and make it snappy. I would
hate to have to shoot a pretty lass like you."

Spike smiled his best winning smile and winked at her. Immediately she relaxed
and hurried to comply. Xander, who had been watching the little display of
flirtation intently was totally unaware of the businessman who had tried to
get into the bank, found it locked up, and hurried away to notify the officials
of the bank's suspicious situation.

While all this was happening in the lobby, Buck had burst into the bank president's
office and dragged him down the hall to the huge steel wall that contained the safe.

"Open it!"

Mr. Terwilliker straightened his suit, annoyed that it had been creased during
the unseemly manhandling.

"I can't."

"I said, open the fucking safe!"

The bank president appeared to remain calm. He was certain that no hooligan
such as this would dare actually harm a man of his stature and quality.

"No. I refuse to.....OOF!"

Buck slammed the shotgun butt into the banker's stomach causing him to double
over in an agony that sent flashes of blinding white to the backs of his eyes. Before
he had the chance to again refuse or even comply, Buck then grabbed a fistful of
his hair, snapped his head back and shoved the barrel of the gun in his mouth.

"Now, you little prick. You can open the safe or I can pull the trigger. Your choice."

Mr. Terwilliker threw up his hands and violently nodded his head, 'yes'.
As soon as Buck released his painful grip, the banker rushed to the round, numbered
dial and he began to spin it. It clicked and stopped. He turned it the other way and
it clicked and stopped. He spun it twice again and the tumblers fell into place. He
gripped the huge metal handle, lifted it, and the safe opened.

Buck felt a rush of exuberance flood his body and his cock twitched in his trousers.
He wanted to whoop and call out like a little boy who had been given a handful of
penny candies, but he remained stoic. He raised his foot, placed it on Terwilliker's
ass and shoved him in.

"Bag it up"

Xander was so focused on the little display of giggle and wink that was going on
in the teller's cage as she bagged every dollar she could reach, that he hadn't
even noticed the plump middle aged woman that had eased her way over to him.

"Is that really Spike Barrow? He's very polite and certainly good looking."

Xander frowned.

"Yeah, that's the bastard. Now get your fat ass back over there on the wall."

The customer huffed and marched away. By the time she was back with the others,
Spike had tipped his hat in thanks and signaled to Xander to come around the counter
and join him. At the same time, Buck appeared from the back laden down with several heavy bags of cash.

"Where's the banker?"

"Locked him in the safe. Let's go."

Together, the three of them hurried toward the rear of the bank. At the last minute,
Spike stopped and turned around, speaking to Xander.

"What do you say, love, should I give them something to keep them busy?"

He then reached into one of the bags and pulled out a handful of bills which he tossed
high in the air. Every customer in the room flew into action, scrambling to pocket as
much as possible before the cops got there and intervened. Myra, the helpful teller,
paused for only a minute before muttering, "fuck it" and joined in, hoping for enough
to buy food for the family.

Spike then grabbed Xander's arm and ran to catch up with Buck who, they assumed
would be waiting in the car. When they dashed into the back alley, they were stunned
see him standing, bags of cash in his hands beside an empty car.

Furious, Buck tossed the bags in the back window and he spun in a 360, shouting in all directions.

"DRU! DRUSILLA!"

Spike spun around to see if there was anyone coming after them. He then shoved
Xander toward the car.

"Get the fuck in! Let's go, Buck! Goddamn it! LET'S GO!"

"No! I won't leave her I won't......"

"THERE!"

Xander pointed to the far end of the alley where they could just barely make out the
outline of the thin woman squatted down trying to coax a stray cat out from behind a
trash barrel. Immediately Buck turned to run to her as, off in the distance, the sound
of sirens split the air.

"NO! BUCK! Damn it. They're coming!"

Buck ignored Spike's warning and rushed to grab his wife, shouting back to them.

"Pick us up. Hurry."

Spike leapt behind the wheel and threw the car into reverse, flying backwards
toward the couple just as Buck snatched his wife off her feet and jerked her
roughly away from the feral, snarling cat.

Spike reached them and slammed on the brakes at the same instant a black and
white pulled into the far end of the dark, narrow alley and two cops jumped out, guns blazing and bullets flying. The pinging rang near their ears as the shots hit the bricks
and particles of metal and stone bounced off every surface.

Buck tugged open the car door and shoved Drusilla in but before he himself could dive
to safety, one of the bullets struck with a sickening 'whap'.

"FUCK! I'M FUCKIN' HIT!!"

Reaching over the back of the seat, Xander grunted as he grabbed Buck by the back
of the shirt and pulled.

The interior of the car was chaotic. Xander was shouting "GO! GO! GO!" as Dru
screamed in a shrill, piercing voice "Daddy! Daddy! Don't die!" while Buck moaned in
the backseat, his leg soaking through his trousers with a rapidly growing stain of blood.

Praying there was no traffic to interfere, Spike floored the gas pedal and the car
flew from the alley out into the main street leaving a trail of black rubber on the road.
He took the first corner on two wheels and headed out of town with two patrol cars
closing in behind. The ear splitting wail of the sirens was matched, decibel for decibel
by Dru's screeching and Xander wanted nothing more than to put a bullet right through
the center of her pale, white forehead to shut her up.

Once they were away from any innocent pedestrians, Xander pumped a shell into the shotgun and hung out the window. Spike held the car as steady as possible, and Xander fired.

The shot hit it's mark and the patrol car windshield exploded in a hurricane of glass
killing the driver and sending the cruiser spinning out of control and off the side of the
road. it rapidily rolled over three times before slamming into a huge oak tree and bursting into flames.
