When the chant was finished Spike fell to the ground, and in the other circle there was a naked, brown haired Spike in it, looking around shyly.
Wil gasped as he walked over to Spike and helped him up. "Spike... I will miss you dearly," he kissed his twin's cheek, tears in both their eyes.
Spike led them away from the circles and over to Xander. "Your turn, pet," he gave a sad smile.
"You might want to give him your duster, Spike" Xander said before he walked over to stand in the circle.
When the chant was over Xander was hunched over on his knees. He looked up to find brown eyes looking down at him in amusement. He took the hand offered to him and when he was standing he took in the man before him.
"Alex?" he asked in wonderment.
"Hey, Xan" Alex looked exactly like him but his hair was shorter and he had a scar on his left cheek.
"Got it in combat training" he said when he noticed Xander looking at it.
Xander pulled Alex into his arms and squeezed him before letting go. "It nice to see ya, man."
Spike smiled and gave his duster to Wil who thankfully put it on and covered himself self-consciously. "Thank you," he whispered, hugging Spike tightly before letting go and running to Alex and hugging him tightly. "Hey," he smiled happily.
Spike walked over to Xander and smiled sadly, "I feel like a part of me is gone.."
Xander wrapped one arm around Spike while looking at Wil and Alex hugging. "Yea, but its worth it. Look at how happy they are."
Alex didn’t seem to mind the fact that he was naked and was laughing and poking at Wil, looking at him with all the love he could.
"He's never been this happy, Spike," Xander said.
He turned to the demon; "You have some clothes for these two?"
The demon nodded and then left to get them clothes.
Spike sniffed sadly, "We only have 10 minutes left to be near each other and they have to be out of town by then," he gave a sad smile to Xander. "Are we gonna get them a car? What are we gonna do?" he asked worriedly.
Wil smiled and took the clothes the demon offered and quickly put them on, tossing Spike's duster back at him.
"Alex knows all my credit card and bank account numbers so they'll be fine. Don’t worry about Wil, Spike. Alex will take good care of him. He'll live like royalty... and all on my bank account," he chuckled.
Alex got dressed and pulled Wil into his arms. He lifted him up and spun him around before putting him back down and planting a kiss on his lips.
"Come on you two! We should get going!" he called over his shoulder.
Spike walked outside with the other three and grabbed William tightly and hugged him close, kissing his cheek, "You better call me, you poof," he chuckled sadly.
Wil laughed and kissed Spike's lips softly, "I am always with you. And don't worry, you poofter, We will call you everyday."
Spike looked at Alex, and laughed, hugging him tightly, "Nice to meet ya, Alexander."
"Yea nice to meet you too," he patted Spike on the back. "You take care of Xan for me. Its a mess inside that head and I'm afraid of what’s gonna happen now that I'm not there to keep it in order."
Spike smiled, "I will take care of him, don't worry. I love him enough to fight for him." He nodded, letting go of Alex and moving back.
Xander walked over to William and pulled him into a big bear hug. He laughed and said, "Keep an eye on Alex. He can go a little overboard."
William smiled and cuddled into the hug, "I will. He means a lot to me. And please take good care of Spike. His... heart is hurting really bad right now, and he needs you the most now."
"I know," Xander answered and pulled back from the hug.
He looked over to Alex and took his hand in a firm handshake. "Call us whenever you get settled in somewhere. Don’t get into any trouble, Wil wouldn’t be able to handle it. And you can use all the money you want but you will eventually need a job."
Alex rolled his eyes before pulling Xander into a hug.
"Yes, dad. I'll be good. ... I love you and I'll miss you."
Xander held him tighter as his tears began to fall. "Love you too. I'll miss you too."
Spike had to look away, he felt the tears in his own eyes. "I love you all," he whispered, opening his tear filled eyes to look at all of them.
Wil reached out and held onto Alex's hand when Alex and Xander broke apart from the hug. "Alex... I'm sorry, but we need to go, the time is almost up," he said quietly, almost unsure if he should remind Alex, he didn't want to get in trouble.
Alex sighed, "Yea, I know. We'll go call a taxi then go... somewhere." He smiled down to Wil.
"We'll call you guys later." With that, they turned and walked down the street.
Xander turned to Spike and tried to think of a way to cheer him up. When he thought of something he stood in front of Spike and lifted him onto his back.
"Come, Spike the Screw Ball. I shall give you a piggy-back ride back to our humble abode."
‘Maybe we should get a puppy on the way home? Or I could surprise him tomorrow.' Xander ignored the fact that no one answered him in his head.
Spike sighed and rested his head on Xander's head, "You miss the person to talk to and ask advice to, don't you?" he whispered softly. He felt alone in his head, but, he was happy that Wil and Alex were free, and able to be together.
'He wasn’t really supposed to notice that' Xander thought. 'I have to be strong for him.'
"Yea... but its not like he just left. He went to go live happily ever after. And soon, we'll get to do that to," he said in a cheery voice. He put a bounce in his step so Spike was bouncing.
Spike laughed, kissing the side of Xander's head, "I know. I'm glad for all of us too." He sighed softly. "I'm sorry. I want to be in a good mood for you. And I will try my hardest, just for you," he smiled.
Xander didn’t want Spike to act like he was okay. If he was upset he wanted him to show it. Plus, he was fine about Xander not being there. It was weird, and he missed him, but he wasn’t even close to how upset Spike was.
"Don’t worry about it, Spike. I'm fine. Hey," he looked over his shoulder to see the vampire, "Have you ever had a dog? Now that I think about it, do you even like dogs?"
Spike smiled, "You’re probably more of a dog person, but I am more of a cat person." He chuckled, "But if you want a dog, that's fine with me. I will like it no matter what." He nuzzled Xander's head. "Love you, pet," He whispered.
'Cat, huh? I can do that,' Xander smirked in his mind.
"I love you too, Spike."
They made it back to the apartment and climbed into bed. Xander was still thinking about the cat, but knew that he had to make sure Spike fell asleep all right.
'I'm gonna have to get up before him.'
Spike yawned and snuggled close to Xander. "Xan... love you so much. I can wait for the family. I can do anything as long as I have you by my side," he sighed, yawning again and closing his eyes, falling asleep instantly, his thumb gently rubbing up and down Xander's side.
Xander snuggled next to Spike and fell asleep right after him.
