Summary: Over 3,000 years ago Angelus the high priest of Seti I, was given the assignment of preparing the recently dead for their journey into the afterlife. Angelus made one terrible mistake - he became smitten with Xan-uk-amun, the male concubine of the Pharaoh himself. Driven mad by jealousy and love, Angelus and Xan-uk-amun murdered the Pharaoh. Angelus's punishment was to be buried alive and suffer the torment of an eternal life in his wretched tomb. In 1925, a band of adventurers seeking fame and fortune - led by William (Spike) Barstow, an English expatriate who had joined the foreign legion, and Xander Harris, an amateur archeologist - find a previously unknown burial site in Egypt. The team starts to dig, hoping to find lost riches, but instead they disturb the tomb of Angelus, and soon the cursed priest rises from his grave to wreck vengeance on them and humanity.

Xander and Oz scrambled to their feet and Xander squinted skyward. As the biplane came into view he started to wave both arms in the air and jump up and down. "Spike! Spike down here!" He yelled, a broad smile on his face. Oz groaned and glanced at Angelus glaring at Xander, he growled. "You might not want to do that," he muttered shaking his head. Xander stopped and looked at him. Why? What's he gonna do about it? Kill me?" Oz gave him a quizzical look and shrugged. "Well, pretty much, yeah." Xander seemed to consider this for a moment, dismissed it, stuck his tongue out at Angelus and resumed jumping and shouting. Oz cowered and to his surprise watched as Angelus smiled. The boy was really quite amusing and had spirit, his resemblance to his beloved Xan-uk-amun was remarkable and once he had his soul they would spend an amusing and passion filled eternity together.
Spike saw the little figure on the sand jumping and waving. "There, there," he said excitedly. "that's Xander!" He pointed. Winston nodded and took the plane in a lower pass. "Looks like a nice sort of lad." Spike smiled, "He is, bright as a button and stubborn as a mule," he said proudly. Winston pulled the plane up and circled, Angelus watched them with narrowed eyes, the flying machine was annoying, he closed his eyes and concentrated.
The desert came alive, the sand seemed to crack and shift beneath their feet. Oz whimpered and Xander stopped jumping and waving, he watched with increasing alarm as in the distance the sand rose up in a great wall that reached skyward toward the plane. The wall of sand solidified and rushed with gathering speed after them. Spike twisted round and saw the wall of sand coming at them, he lowered his goggles. "Bloody Hell." He tapped Winston on the shoulder and he turned his head and smiled. "Hang on boys!" The biplane skimmed the top of a huge sand dune and on the other side Winston sent the plane into a steep dive toward the desert floor pulling up and leveling off just few feet above the sand. The sand wall crashed down behind them and raced after the plane. Spike turned round and faced the wall of sand. "Pedal faster, Winston!" The wall formed into Angelus's face and an enormous mouth opened as if about to swallow the plane. Spike grabbed the Lewis Gun and fired at the face, it had no effect and the racing sand swallowed the plane.
Xander ran to Angelus and pulled at him, hitting at him with his fists, he didn't retaliate or even open his eyes. "Stop it! Stop it! You're going to kill them!" He said frantically. Oz gaped at the wall of sand. "I think that's the idea." Xander cast him a nasty look. "I don't like you!" He hissed. Oz clutched dramatically at his chest. "I'm wounded, truly," he whined. Xander danced round Angelus in desperation, made up his mind, grasped the priest's face between his hands and fused his lips to his. At first the priest didn't react, then he kissed back, his arms enfolding Xander he lifted him to him and took charge of the kiss forcing his tongue into Xander's mouth and grabbing his ass with both hands. Oz gaped open mouthed. "Do you want me to leave you two alone?" He mumbled.
Behind the priest the sand wall crumbled and crashed to the desert floor and dissipated. Coughing and spluttering the plane emerged, Xander heard and kneed Angelus as hard as he could in the balls. The priest grunted and released his hold, a look of disappointment on is face. Xander staggered back and shrugged. Furious Angelus spun round and then smiled as thick black smoke and flames came from the plane's engine. Xander watched in horror as the plane descended and disappeared from view over a sand dune, followed by a crash and a thick column of black smoke. He gave an anguished cry ."No!" Angelus grinned at him.
The plane was buried upside down nose in the sand, Spike fell out of the gunner's seat and landed on the sand. Ardeth Bay fought free of his bindings and dropped from the wing. Wes struggled, the wing he was tied to, half buried. "Excuse me.... A little help would be useful.........If it isn't too much trouble!" He snapped. "Yeah, yeah." Spike staggered over and released him, Wes fell with an 'Ooomph' onto the sand. Ardeth Bay tore the Lewis Gun from it's mounting. Suddenly Spike remembered Winston and rushed to the cockpit. "Win......." Winston was dead, a grin on his face. Spike sighed, Wes placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's what he wanted." Spike nodded. Suddenly the plane began to sink into the sand. "Quicksand!" Ardeth Bay shouted and Spike grabbed his pack and leapt to safety with Wes. They watched as the plane slowly sank from view, Spike and Wes saluted.
Angelus strode passed Oz. "I loved the whole sand wall trick," he mumbled. "the bastards." Angelus grabbed Xander's hand and began to drag him toward Hamunptra, Oz following.
Spike hefted his pack, Ardeth Bay hefted the Lewis Gun over his shoulder and Wes checked his gun. They began to walk toward Hamunaptra, Spike leading, Wes in the middle and Ardeth Bay bringing up the rear. "So Horus, what's he look like?" Spike asked. "Tall chap, pointy ears and face like a falcon." Wes replied.
"Got it." Spike affirmed.
