Summary: Xander is being watched.
Beta’d by the wonderful FeelsTheMagic
Xander noticed that Spike had been looking at him a lot lately. When he’d turn to look at the vampire, he would quickly turn his attention to something else. He would almost look embarrassed that he had been caught.
Two weeks ago, that’s when the staring at begun. Right after they killed the Booger Mayonnaise, well that’s what Xander called it. Why demons had names that no one could pronounce, he would never know.
It had actually been Xander who had killed it. It was a total fluke, of course, his foot got caught on a tree root, and his spear went flying, lodging itself into the demon. They found out later that it had been his blow hole of sorts, and it had suffocated.
Since then Spike had hung around more, he even stopped insulting the human. Xander thought it was strange but nice none the less.
Today was the day Xander was going to find out why the vampire was suddenly watching him. The gang was heading over to the Bronze, and he had no doubt Spike would come along.
The music was pounding around him, his whole body was vibrating. The girls were on the dance floor, and Spike was at the bar nursing a beer, and of course looking at Xander. Standing up, the brunette made his way to the vampire.
When Spike saw Xander heading his way, he stood, heading for the exit. He almost made his escape but was grabbed by the collar of his duster and yanked back, being pushed against the wall.
“What the bloody hell is wrong with you?” Spike griped as he fixed his duster.
“Me? What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong is that I have the evil undead staring at me!” Xander replied. “What gives?”
The blonde sniffed, “Don’t know what you’re talking about, mate.”
“Spike, for once in your life, could you tell the truth?”
Spike glared before grabbing the boy and pulling him into a kiss. It only lasted about twenty seconds before he pulled away and continued to glare, waiting for the tantrum to start.
“W-woah,” Was all Xander could say. He had never thought about kissing a man before. He certainly never thought about kissing Spike! Now he was wondering why he had never thought about it.
“You want the truth? I like you.” Spike grumbled. “And it’s entirely your bloody fault!”
Xander shook his head, “How’s it my fault?”
“You looking the way you do, smelling so damn good! Couldn’t have been horribly disfigured, could you?”
“Um… sorry?” Xander offered.
“And you should be! Not to mention being all strong and loyal! How am I supposed to resist that?”
Xander tried to think of a response; he said the first think that popped into his head. “It was a good kiss.”
“Don’t worry, it won’t happen again.” Spike stopped to register what he was just told, “It was?”
“I think maybe one of the best. Think we could do it again?”
The vampire stood speechless. This very straight, very non-gay man wanted another kiss? He shrugged; he wasn’t about to turn down a snog. Leaning forward, he wrapped his arms around the warm willing boy, pulling him in close.
This time, Xander initiated the kiss. Why was it that he and Spike never did this before today? It didn’t matter, it had happened and he intended for it to happen again and again. He smiled into the kiss, oh yeah, this was good.
