Summary: Xander needs to get Angel’s approval

Xander paced the living room of the apartment chewing on his nail. When he passed the couch for the fiftieth time he was grabbed around the waist and pulled down onto Spike’s lap.

“Would you sodding stop that already?” Spike griped as he rubbed soothing circles on Xander’s back.

“Why aren’t you more worried?” Xander demanded to know and tried to stand up again so he could continue to pace. “This is so bad!”

Spike growled and held on tighter, “It’ll be fine.”

“Fine? Fine?” Xander asked with disbelief. “Angel is coming here to most likely demand that you aren’t allowed to see me because he hates me, remember?”

“The poof is going to do no such thing,” Spike reassured Xander. “He is coming to see Red, we’re just a stop along the way.”

“And how do you know he isn’t going to say he doesn’t approve? You’re his favorite childe. Even if you’re a giant pain in the ass.” Xander stated and went back to chewing on his nail.

Spike pulled Xander’s hand away from his mouth, “Because you gave him the go ahead with Willow. Do you think she’d let him have a problem with us and then let him fuck her six ways from bloody Sunday?”

“EW, Spike! I don’t want to think about Angel bumping uglies with my best friend.” Xander whined at the horrible image. “That’s going to scar me for life, not to mention my sex drive.”

Spike snorted in amusement, “Your labido is fine. After Angel leaves I’ll prove it to you.” He promised and sucked on Xander’s bottom lip.

“Am I interrupting?” Angel’s voice came from the doorway.

“Eek!” Xander yelped and fell off Spike’s lap. “How the hell did you get in here, deadboy?”

Angel raised an eyebrow, “When I talked to Spike he gave me the invite.”

Xander glared at Spike, “You could have told me.” He hissed and punched Spike in the arm. Xander stood and straightened his clothes before approaching Angel. “So what do you want?”

“I want to know your intentions towards my boy,” Angel said with a smirk which sent shivers down Xander’s spine. That smirk would forever be embedded in his brain from Angelus days.

“Well gee Mister, I want to go steady with him. He’s the swelliest guy I’ve ever met.” Xander replied making his voice go high. “We haven’t even talked about sex! We want to wait till we’re married, all proper like.”

Angel rolled his eyes at Xander’s sarcasm. “Do you love him?”

“Yeah, I do,” Xander answered seriously. “He’s the best thing in my life.” He made his way back to the couch.

Spike grinned and tugged Xander back onto his lap. “Love you too, Xanpet,” And kissed him letting his hands wander over the tan body.

“Still in the room,” Angel informed both of them.

“You’re still here?” Spike asked apparently not hearing Angel.

Angel sighed unnecessarily, “Best of luck with him, Xander, you’re going to have your hands full.”

“He already knows how much of a handful I am, don’t you luv?” Spike purred.

Xander blushed, “I don’t want Angel thinking about you like that!”

“Neither do I,” Angel agreed before heading to the door. “I’m going to see Willow now.”

“Good,” Spike replied while grabbing Xander’s ass. “I want some alone time with my Xander.” He proceeded to carry Xander to their room not bothering to close the door, letting Angel know exactly what kind of alone time he wanted.

Angel shook his head, images of Spike and Xander stuck in his head. He needed to get to Willow hoping she could help him forget about the two men.
