Prompt Notes: Inspiration for this chapter taken from
tamingthemuse prompt #347: SisterNotes: I pulled the image of the sword together from several different blades from the Middle Ages. She's a one handed, straight bladed, double edged sword, very reminiscent of an arming sword (so called because they were worn with armor.) This diagram of a typical Medieval European sword shows the placement of a single 'fuller' down the middle of the blade. A 'fuller' is like a groove which "lightens the blade while conversely increasing its strength and stiffness."
That Donahue Guy - Phil Donahue's talk show ended in 1996, five years before this story takes place. However I'm pretty sure that Spike would know who he was.
